Great to see over 80 contractors attend the H2R Consulting and H2R Technology contractors function at the Thistle Inn. Many of our contractors have been with us for the whole 20 years we have been in business so they helped us celebrate this in true H2R style! Thank you for your hard work and loyalty over the years.
On June 1st, 2004 a little company called H2R was born to Directors, Eugene Ng and Jane Walker. Today we celebrated our 20 year anniversary with our team of 50 in Wellington and Auckland. Its been such an exciting journey with many outstanding people having being part of the H2R Whanau. Some going on to bigger and better things, some now overseas, some full time parents and some still here!
The H2R Consulting and H2R Technology – Hangarau H2R Wellington teams held their annual end of year Halloween themed contractor function at the wonderful Thistle Inn last night. A huge thank you to the 100+ contractors who braved Wellington’s wind and rain to attend this fun and relaxed event! It was an excellent opportunity to get together and network with other contractors in the market.
Members of our Wellington H2R Consulting and H2R Technology – Hangarau H2R teams conquered the Suncorp Spirit to Cure Stadium Climb on Friday. It was a fantastic team activity and awesome to hear words of encouragement and support from one another to get to the finish line. A huge thank you to everyone who supported us to raise money for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand and Cancer Research Trust NZ. A special thanks to H2R Consulting and Technology for matching donations up to $3k. The team raised a whopping $7170! Thanks again for all your support!
Our Wellington H2R Consulting team held their 6th annual quiz event for clients last night. Another fantastic evening and great opportunity for 14 teams to come together, share their general knowledge and compete to take the top spot! We’ve been supporters of the The Good Registry – gifting goodness for three years now and love the mahi they do. Our winning teams received vouchers to use towards a charity of their choice.
Congratulations to the following teams: 1st place went to Pāmu™, 2nd place Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand and 3rd place was awarded to Chubb. Best team name was Maritime New Zealand with ‘Nauti by Nature’. Well done to the teams and thank you to all that attended. We look forward to hosting another quiz in 2024! After a one year hiatus, we were back last night for our annual wine tasting client networking event at Maison Vauron. What a fantastic group of clients we have, so many laughs, new connections formed as well as reconnecting with past colleagues. It was fantastic to feel the buzz in the room with great company, wine and food. Until next year….
After a two year hiatus due to Covid restrictions, our Wellington H2R Consulting team were excited to get back to hosting our annual end of year contractor function. So good to see familiar faces and reunite contractors with their networks.
With the theme being Halloween (so spooky 😉) everyone had plenty of fun getting together to say thanks to our contractors for their support this year. A huge thanks to all that attended the event and we look forward to the next one!
Our H2R Consulting Wellington team held its 5th annual Quiz Event last night. It was so good to be in the same room with clients and not have any COVID restrictions! There was some good healthy competition in the room and a lot of fun had.😊 Prizes were gift cards supporting charities through the Good Registry.

Big farewell for Victoria from our Wellington team who is heading overseas for her OE after five years at H2R
22 August 2021 – (The Thursday before the nationwide Level 4 lockdown)
It was great to see a full capacity turnout of 150 people at the 2021 Quiz night in the Ballroom at Fox Glove after a year of Covid lockdowns prevented the 2020 challenge from taking place. It was a great atmosphere with fierce competition between the best brains in Wellington. The 2021 Champions were Summerset aka “Our drinking team has a trivia problem” who finally broke The Treasury’s two year winning streak. Summerset donated their $300 Good Registry Voucher to Kids Can. Following close behind in second place were PAMU aka “Pamoo“, who donated their $200 Good Registry Voucher to the Mental Health Foundation. Bringing up the tail end were Heritage Lifecare’s “League of Extraordinary Guessors” who donated their $100 voucher to the SPCA. Most Creative team name went to “Show me the Monet” (Ministry of Education).
2021 Champions – Summerset
The 2019 Annual Quiz Team Challenge was a great success with a bigger venue needed for the larger number of teams and participants. We had 12 teams from various public and private sector organisations who battled it out in a furious and interactive quiz session. Top honours for a second year running goes to The Ministry of Trivia aka The Treasury/DPMC. It came down to the wire with On-Ya-Bike (NZTA) finishing a very close second and Fun Police (Vehicle Testing New Zealand) third. The award for Most Creative Team Name went to Quiztina Aguilera (MPI). Well done to all teams! We hope to see you next year for the 2020 Challenge!
Thanks to everyone who came along to the H2R Team Challenge Quiz night which was hosted by Kerry, Emma and Alex from our Assessment Team in Wellington. Congratulations to the “Ministry of Trivia” (Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet) who took out first prize and now hold the H2R Challenge Cup. The competition was close and it came down to the wire in the final round!
