About the Role:

Our client, a growing and dynamic financial organisation, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team 6-month fixed-term contract.

Based in the city, this is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute directly to financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning.

The Accountant will work closely with the Finance team and Reporting & Compliance Officer, contributing to various key financial functions, supporting business processes, and assisting in financial reporting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Process and manage creditors and debtors, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Manage staff expense claims and credit card processing.
• Maintain accurate records of investment transactions.
• Reconcile investments between Xero and Dynamo Investment System.
• Assist with investment reporting and the preparation of initial financial statements.
• Support the preparation of financial reporting to Treasury and annual budget
• Draft and update year-end forecasts and monthly financial reports.
• Assist in cashflow forecasts

About you:

• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in accounting or financial roles.
• Experience with Xero is highly preferred.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage schedules and workloads effectively.
• Proficiency in Excel
• Excellent analytical skills
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a proactive approach to personal and professional development.
