The Tāmaki Regeneration Company (TRC) is a values-driven and place-based organisation that works alongside Mana Whenua, the community, and partners to deliver New Zealand’s largest regeneration programme in Glen Innes, Panmure and Point England. About the Opportunity:

As the Engagement Development Advisor, you will lead community engagement for development projects, ensuring residents, neighbours, and stakeholders are informed, consulted, and connected throughout planning and construction.

Acting as the bridge between TRC’s Development team and the community, you’ll translate project updates into clear messaging, manage disruptions, and build trust with all stakeholders. As the primary contact for development queries, you’ll nurture relationships internally and externally and ensure compliance with the Resource Management Act (RMA) through effective engagement with Mana Whenua and community groups. Collaborating with project and development managers, you’ll track progress, conduct accurate reporting, and integrate community feedback into project delivery.

Who you will be:
  • A natural and effective communicator, skilled at building relationships and engaging with diverse communities
  • Knowledgeable in RMA requirements, with the ability to manage consultation processes to support programme success.
  • Culturally aware, with a strong understanding of Aotearoa’s diverse cultures, particularly Tikanga Māori.
  • Experienced in iwi engagement protocols and comfortable working collaboratively with Māori communities.
