About the role
Work closely with the HR Business Partner to provide operational HR support, focusing on employment relations, collective bargaining, and compliance. You will play a key role in case management, documentation, policy reviews, and union engagement.

Duties
- Support employment relations processes, including note-taking, case tracking, and compliance reporting
- Assist with collective bargaining by recording meetings, liaising with union representatives, and tracking agreements
- Provide HR policy and compliance support, ensuring alignment with employment law
- Act as a trusted HR point of contact for managers and employees
- Research case law, best practices, and industrial relations trends
Skills & experience
- Previous HR Advisor experience in a unionised environment
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment law and collective agreements
- Excellent organisation and documentation skills, including case tracking, reporting, and formal correspondence
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels
- Experience in collective bargaining processes is a plus
