H2R Consulting are exclusively assisting a Wellington based organisation locate a Principal People Insights and Reporting Analyst

We want someone with an analytical mind that sees the ‘big picture’, but with an eye for detail. Someone who both has a brilliant technical skillset, coupled with great people skills. In terms of technical skills the role requires a good level of Power BI and Excel.

The Principal Data Analyst will provide expert analytical insights into people and workforce data. This person will use their knowledge, technical data expertise and stakeholder engagement skills to support the People & Capability team in the delivery of strategic initiatives.
  
This person will be supporting the development of measure specification, master data management, analysis, and data visualisation to monitor and track the full spectrum of workforce metrics. They will provide expert analytics and insights to support work programmes such as Strategic Workforce Planning, which assist the identification of strategic future opportunities.
  
This position has a strong requirement for effective stakeholder engagement and fostering effective working relationships across the organisation.

Required skills:

  • Lead data analytical reporting and demonstrated ability to deliver insights from multivariate data sets.
  • Develop modelling and data analysis to guide strategy and decision making on people and workforce related issues.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed, comprehensive reports, leveraging key data insights.
  • Demonstrated evidence of sound analytical and conceptual skills, utilizing critical thought to identify causation in data trends.
  • Identify emerging issues, risk and trends impacting on the successful achievement of key business objectives and imperatives.
  • Provide high quality business intelligence and sound recommendations based on comprehensive research and investigations.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, including experience dealing with Senior leaders.
  • An ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, provide advice on processes and policies, work effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to express opinions, information and key points clearly and concisely via effective verbal and written communication.

This is a new position and has the ability for you to make it your own. At times you will be required to step up and take on leadership responsibilities as an act-in Manager for the team. The division require someone comfortable presenting at all levels, this includes taking feedback and questions from senior groups.
